Pre-release: this documentation describes the current development state and may change before release.
All settings are in the ACP under Setup → Options → ComplyGuard.
This page describes what is implemented right now: the point of contact (Art. 11 and 12 DSA) and the notice and action mechanism for posts (Art. 16 DSA). Statements of reasons, self-deletion, data export and the Pro modules are planned and will be added here once they are ready.

Point of contact
The add-on creates a public page at /dsa/contact. /dsa/ redirects there. Without friendly URLs the address is index.php?dsa/contact. A link to the page appears in the forum footer.
The page shows the point of contact’s email address, the languages and the further contact details. It serves as the point of contact for authorities (Art. 11) and for users (Art. 12).
Notice form
The form opens from the Report illegal content link below a post and is open to everyone, including guests. This determines which content is reported, so nobody has to enter a URL. The form asks for:
- category: terrorist content, illegal hate speech, child sexual abuse material, threat to the life or safety of persons, violation of personal rights, intellectual property infringement, scams, fraud or spam, violation of the terms and rules, other illegal content
- an explanation of why the content is illegal, with the configured minimum length
- name and email address. Required, except in the child sexual abuse category, as Art. 16(2) DSA provides. Both fields are pre-filled for members.
- confirmation that the information is accurate and complete, given in good faith
- a captcha for guests, using the captcha configured in XenForo
What happens after a notice
- The notice appears as a regular report in XenForo’s report queue, with an extra box for the DSA details.
- Notifiers who gave an email address receive a confirmation of receipt by email.
- Moderators handle the notice as usual. When the report is resolved or rejected, the decision is emailed to the notifier automatically, with information on out-of-court dispute settlement and legal action.
- Notices in the category threat to life or safety are marked as urgent. If you suspect such a criminal offence, Art. 18 DSA requires you to inform the authorities yourself. The add-on does not send anything to authorities.
Receipt, confirmation and decision are stored with timestamps.
What else you should do
- Describe how you moderate in your forum rules or terms (Art. 14 DSA). The add-on does not provide a ready-made text for this.
- Link the point of contact page from your legal notice or forum rules.
- Make sure the contact email is read regularly.
